GARY GRAEME McFARLANE Of Three Mile Lake On Tuesday, May 1, 2018, Gary McFarlane passed away peacefully, but suddenly, with his loving wife of 55 years by his side, at his home on Three Mile Lake in Katrine, Ontario, at the age of 78. Born in Toronto, April 9, 1940, he was the son of the late Graeme McFarlane and the late Charlotte Millicent McFarlane (nee Moulton). Gary was President of Mar-Land Engineering since 1973 completing work on the Great Lakes, Eastern Canada, and the Caribbean, and had continued consulting until very recently. He was a long time supporter of the Boy Scouts of Canada, and served as Area Commissioner in Etobicoke, Ontario for many years. Gary and Joyce were also past members of St. James United Church in Etobicoke. In later years, Gary was an active member of the Three Mile Lake Cottagers Association, the Burk's Falls Agricultural Society, and the Burk's Falls United Church. Gary, predeceased by his infant son Lawrence, survived by his beloved wife Joyce (nee Budarick), proud dad of Shaun McFarlane (Liza), Neil McFarlane (Nancy) and Wendy McFarlane (Jim Young). Loving Pa of Taylor McFarlane, Kaitlin Jeter (Brandan), Amanda McFarlane, Nathan Young, Benjamin Young, and of great grandchildren Evelynn Jeter and Samuel Jeter. He was a cherished brother of Patricia Tiveron (Peter), Barbara Stadnyk (late John), and brother-in-law of Conny Budarick and Karen Rogers (Art). Fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A service to celebrate the life of the late Gary McFarlane was conducted at the Burk's Falls United Church on Thursday May 3, 2018 at 4:00 P.M. At Gary's request, cremation has taken place. If desired, donations in memory of Gary may be made to the Burk's Falls United Church (135 Yonge St., Burks Falls, ON P0A 1C0), and would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
