MR. FREDERICK PHILIP PRESTON (Of Sundridge) Peacefully with his family by his side at the London Health Sciences Centre, Victoria site on Thursday March 11, 2010 in his 71st year. Fred Preston, beloved husband of Barbara Preston (nee Taylor). Dear father of Cindy Desmarais (Roger), Penny Black (Bill) all of Sundridge and Annette Preston (Luke Campbell) of Guelph. Loving grandfather of Cayla and Calyn Petch, Zachary Atwell and Natasha Virtue. Cherished brother of Eugene (Edna) of Huntsville, Claire of Newmarket, June Kent, Alex (Shirley), Clark (Donna) and brother-in-law of Edith Preston all of Sundridge. Fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, cousins and his many friends in the area. Predeceased by brothers Don and Grant Preston, brother-in-law Lewis Kent and sister-in-law Elsie Preston. Family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Moore Chapel, 9 Paget Street, Sundridge on Monday March 15, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. A service to celebrate the life of the late Mr. Fred Preston will be conducted at the Sundridge Church of Christ, Highway #11 in Sundridge on Tuesday March 16, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. with the Pastor Don Smith officiating. If desired, memorial donations to a trust fund in support of Constable Vu Pham's children would be sincerely appreciated by the family and can be placed at any Scotia Bank (Account # 410120217921) or at the funeral home by cheque payable "in Trust for Heather Pham".
