Fred Stermsek

MR. FRED STERMSEK of Kearney Passed away peacefully at his Golden Pond on Monday August 5, 2013 with his cherished wife of 50 years, his adored niece and his four legged best friend, Koko, by his side. Fred Stermsek, of Kearney, beloved husband of Elizabeth, was in his 76th year. Treasured uncle of Stacey. Loved brother of Klaus (Dagmar). Loving uncle to Laura, Sandi (Murray Chapman) and Sharon (John Hickling). Fred will be fondly remembered by his good buddy Butch Stoner and dear family friend Carole Gautreau. He will be sadly missed by his great niece Amber and great nephews Taylor, Cooper, Stephen and Cole. The family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Dempster Chapel, 210 Ontario Street in Burk's Falls on Friday August 9, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m. A service to celebrate the life of the late Mr. Stermsek will be conducted in the chapel commencing at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday August 10, 2013 with Maureen Ellison officiating. Interment in Sand Lake Log Church Cemetery, Kearney. If desired, memorial donations to Hospice Huntsville would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
