FRANCES MARY JONES - DODD of Sprucedale British by Birth, Welsh by the Grace of God; Canadian by Choice. Suddenly at her residence in Sprucedale on Wednesday April 24, 2013. Frances Mary Jones - Dodd, best friend and beloved companion of the late Michael Phipps, was in her 76th year. Loving daughter of the late Ellis and Frances Jones. Frances is predeceased by her siblings; Enis Rowlands, Raymond Jones Senior and is the cherished aunt of many nieces and nephews. Frances was exceptionally charitable, an ardent volunteer, a member of the Horticultural Society and Sprucedale Friendship Club, a former town councilor; she touched too many lives to mention everyone. She also worked for many years with Continental Can as both a systems analyst and chief payroll administrator. The family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Dempster Chapel, 210 Ontario Street in Burk's Falls on Thursday May 2, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. A service to celebrate the life of the late Frances Jones - Dodd will be held in the chapel commencing at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday May 2, 2013 with Don Nicholson officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in Frances's memory may be made to the Almaguin Highlands Health Centre.
