MR. EVERETT MILO PARKES (E.P.) of Sundridge Peacefully at the Huntsville District Memorial Hospital on Sunday July 17, 2016 in his 93rd year. Everett Parkes, beloved husband of Marjory Parkes (nee Boyes). Dear father of Betty McLaren (Keith), Steve Parkes (Debbie), Kevin Parkes (Aileen) and Rick Parkes (Brenda). Loving Grandpa of Cindy (Gerry), Jeff (Kathy), Kim (Remi), Jennifer (Allan), Brad (Courtney), Adam (Trista), Neil, Jim (Lindsay), Kristen (Ramon), Joe (Mallory), Andrew (Christine), Holly (Dan) and Great Grandpa of 26. Predeceased by daughter Lois Parkes, daughter-in-law Laurie Parkes, parents Edmund and Nora Parkes, brothers: Jim, Joe, Smith and Charlie; and sisters: Marjorie, Hazel, Fannie and Alice. Fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home - Moore Chapel, 9 Paget Street in Sundridge on Tuesday July 19, 2016 from 1-3 and 6-8 P.M. A service to celebrate the life of the late Mr. Everett Parkes will be conducted at Bethel Pentecostal Church on Buck Haven Road in Sundridge on Wednesday July 20, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Curtis Gudrie officiating. Interment at the Strong Cemetery in Sundridge. If desired, memorial donations to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, the Hospital for Sick Children or the charity of your choice would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
