MRS. ETHEL MAY MAECK Of South River Peacefully at Lady Isabelle in Trout Creek on Wednesday October 3, 2012 in her 102nd year. Ethel Maeck (nee McDougall), beloved wife of the late Karl Maeck. Dear mother of Helen Evers (late Vern) and Evelyn Ahola (Eino Henry) all of North Bay. Loving grandmother of Laurie (Steve), Bonnie (Gerry), Ivan, Karl, James (Ann-Marie), 12 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. Predeceased by her granddaughters Dianne and Rosemary, sisters Elsey Hollister and Hazel Cowgill, brother Charles McDougall and parents John McDougall and Nellie Wiles. Family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home - Moore Chapel, 9 Paget Street in Sundridge on Friday October 5, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. A service to celebrate the life of the late Mrs. Ethel Maeck will be conducted at the Chalmers United Church in South River on Saturday October 6, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. with the Reverend Joan Smith and the Reverend Dennis Landry officiating. Interment at the South River Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to the Chalmers United Church Memorial Fund would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
