MR. ERNEST RAYMOND STEEL Of Magnetawan Peacefully at Lady Isabelle Nursing Home in Trout Creek on Sunday July 29, 2012 following a long battle with Alzheimer's. Mr. Ray Steel was in his 77th year. Beloved husband of Marilyn (nee Sutcliffe) for 54 years. Dear father of Raylynne Cameron (David), Cheri Thompson (Darrell), Ernest Stephen Steel (Kelly) and Marilyn Brochert (Holger). Proud grandfather of Tanya, Chris, Rena, Dwayne, Ernest Raymond, Shana, Michael, Bradley, Brittany and Brody. Great grandfather of Christian, Quentin, Malayna and Andon. Loving son of the late Ernest and Adelaide Steel. Ray will be fondly remembered by all his family and friends. The family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Dempster Chapel, 210 Ontario Street in Burk's Falls on Tuesday July 31, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A service to celebrate the life of the late Mr. Ray Steel will be conducted in Knox Presbyterian Church in Magnetawan commencing at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday August 1, 2012 with Reverend Doctor Walter Winger officiating. Interment in Spence Cemetery, Magnetawan. If desired, memorial donations to the Knox Presbyterian Church Beautification or the Hospital for Sick Children would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
