MR. ERNEST "ERNIE" ALFRED RYE Of Port Perry and formerly of Clear Lake After many bouts with Pneumonia at the Lakeridge Hospital in Port Perry on Friday October 24, 2014 in his 76th year. Ernie Rye, beloved husband of Helen Rye (nee Book). Loving father of Michelle Urie (Brian), Richard Rye (Ana) and Robert Rye (Michelle). Cherished grandfather of Erin, Marisa, David, Jordan, Austin and Mackenzie. Dear brother of Syd Rye (Emma) Predeceased by his parents Ernest and Maude. The family will receive visitors at the Parish of the Good Shepherd in Emsdale on Wednesday October 29, 2014 from 12:00 - 1:00 P.M. A Lions tribute service will be conducted in the church on Wednesday October 29, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. followed by a service to celebrate the life of the late Mr. Ernie Rye with the Reverend Edna Murdy and the Venerable Eric Paterson officiating. Interment at the St. Mark's Cemetery in Emsdale. If desired, memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the charity of your choice would be sincerely appreciated by the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Dempster Chapel, 210 Ontario Street in Burk's Falls.
