Eric “Ike” Herman

Eric (Ike) Wayne Herman, 73, of Burks Falls, Ontario, passed away on December 22, 2019, at the Huntsville Memorial Hospital.
Ike was born in Belleville, ON to Raymond and Beryl on July 22, 1946.  He is predeceased by his long-time partner Pauline Smith, his parents Raymond and Beryl, his siblings Lorne, Doris, Shirley, Lorraine, Larry and Rick.  Ike is survived by his sister Wendy Brant and Pauline’s children Lynn, Kevin, Dan, Frank and Lisa, Vicki and Mark, Stephen and Heather, Stacy and Ron as well as their families, his long-time friend and brother-in-law Jim Todd and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Dr.’s, nurses and staff at the Huntsville Hospital due to Ike’s failing health the last few years he had many stays in the hospital and the staff provided exceptional care right until his death.

The family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Dempster Chapel, 210 Ontario Street in Burk’s Falls on Saturday December 28, 2019 from 1 to 2 p.m.  A service to celebrate Ike’s life will follow in the chapel commencing at 2:00 pm with Reverend Penny Brandt officiating.
