Peacefully at home on Friday April 11, 2025. Rick, beloved husband of Angie (nee Russell) was in his 66th year.

Dear father of Jim (Jennifer), Ricky (Renae), Thomas (Jennifer), Jacob, and Ted (Jessica).

Proud grandfather of Skyler (Bailey), January, Jessica, Rhys, Rhyleigh Jordan, RJ, Kayce and great grandfather of Dimitri.

Son of the late George and Rose Steengaard.

Rick will be missed by his many lifelong friends, he loved people, kids, and working outdoors. Anyone in need…he was there for them.

The family is hosting a celebration of Rick’s life at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 405 in Burk’s Falls on Sunday April 20, 2025 from 1 to 3 pm.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Dempster Chapel in Burk’s Falls.

If desired, memorial donations to a charity of your choice would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
