MR. EMERALD McCABE Of Sundridge Passed away peacefully at Muskoka Landing in Huntsville on Friday March 5, 2010 in his 74th year. Emerald McCabe, beloved husband of Jean McCabe (nee Beck). Loving father of 6 children. Terry (Maggie), Tim, Billyjoe (Dorothy), Bonnie (Tommy) Soles, Sue (Steve) and the late Ernie. Cherished grandfather of 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Predeceased by parents Emily (nee Ireland) and Ernie McCabe. He was the youngest son of 14 children. Fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and friends in the area. Family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home - Moore Chapel, 9 Paget Street, Sundridge on Sunday March 7, 2010 from 2-4 P.M. and 7-9 P.M. A service to celebrate the life of the late Emerald McCabe will be conducted in the chapel on Monday March 8, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. with the Reverend Rick Callery officiating. If desired, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
