MR. ELMER SIDNEY APPLEYARD formerly of Emsdale Peacefully at Leisureworld Muskoka in Gravenhurst on Saturday August 24, 2013. Mr. Elmer Appleyard, beloved husband of the late Irene, was in his 77th year. Dear father of Sidney, Patty (Trevor Copley), Raymond (Marilyn), Gord (Cherie) and Dave (Marie). Proud grandfather of Steven, Travis, Ashley, Dawson, Thomas, Harley, Codie and Nicole. Great grandfather of Cody. Elmer will be fondly remembered by his brother, sisters, many nieces, nephews and all of his other family and friends. The family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Dempster Chapel, 210 Ontario Street in Burk's Falls on Tuesday August 27, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A service to celebrate the life of the late Mr. Appleyard will be conducted in the chapel commencing at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday August 28, 2013 with Reverend Jeffery Hooper officiating. Interment in St. Mark's Anglican Cemetery, Emsdale. If desired, memorial donations to the Alzheimer's Society would be sincerely appreciated by the family
