MR. EDWARD P. HEIMBECKER Of Magnetawan Peacefully on Monday July 23, 2012 at Muskoka Landing in Hunstville after a lengthy battle with Frontal Temporal Lobe Dementia (Pick's Disease). Mr. Ed Heimbecker, beloved husband of Cathy Heimbecker (nee Grunig) was in his 65th year. Loving father of Tracey Brock (Chris) and Paul Heimbecker. Cherished grandfather of Maggie and Hunter Graham. Dear brother of Elsa Lindsay (late Murray), the late Carmen Heimbecker, Bruce Heimbecker (Diane), Barry Heimbecker (Carol), Judy Herbert (Bob) and Ralph Heimbecker (Cathy) and brother in law to Doug Grunig (Ruth). Ed is predeceased by his parents, Milton and Verna Heimbecker and will be fondly remembered by all his many nieces, nephews, other family and friends. The family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Dempster Chapel, 210 Ontario Street in Burk's Falls on Thursday July 26, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A service to celebrate the life of the late Mr. Ed Heimbecker will be conducted in Knox Presbyterian Church in Magnetawan commencing at 11:00 a.m. on Friday July 27, 2012 with Reverend Doctor Walter Winger officiating. Interment of cremated remains in Chapman Cemetery in Magnetawan. If desired, memorial donations to the Baycrest Foundation for Brain Research would be sincerely appreciated by the family
