Edna Maclean

MRS. EDNA IRENE MacLEAN (nee White) of Kearney Slipped away peacefully in her 89th year, with family by her side on May 10, 2013. Predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Don MacLean. Edna was happiest by the water, especially by the ocean in her native Victoria, British Columbia and by the lake in Kearney, Ontario. She found the outdoors an entirely wondrous place. Edna will be sadly missed by daughter Donna Foley and her husband Tom; daughter Val Grundy; son Rob MacLean and his wife Liz. She will be lovingly remembered by all her grandchildren; Jamie, Stephen and Robert Foley; Alexander and Graeme MacLean; Ria and Jenny Grundy. Edna is predeceased by her sister Milva and brother Gerald. The family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Dempster Chapel, 210 Ontario Street in Burk's Falls on Monday May 13, 2013 from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. A service to celebrate the life of the late Mrs. Edna MacLean will be conducted in the chapel commencing at 1:00 p.m. on Monday May 13, 2013 with Maureen Ellison officiating. If desired, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Friends of Fairvern or a charity of your choice would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
