MRS. EDITH JUNE BLACKMORE of Powassan and formerly of Burk's Falls Suddenly at her home on Sunday October 15, 2017. Edith Blackmore, beloved wife of the late Ross, was in her 86th year. Dear mother of Ray Brown (Pat), Doug Blackmore (Judy) and Debra Blackmore. Proud grandmother of James (Monique), Darrin, George and Shannon (Joey). Great grandmother of Katrina, Kayden and Wesley. Edith is survived by her siblings; Helen Downer, Archie Brown (Jean), Wilfred Brown and will be fondly remembered by all of her family and friends. The family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Dempster Chapel, 210 Ontario Street in Burk's Falls on Friday October 20, 2017 from 1 to 3 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. A service to celebrate the life of the late Mrs. Blackmore will be conducted in the chapel commencing at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday October 21, 2017 with Reverend Joan Locke officiating. Interment in the Burk's Falls Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to the Alzheimer's Society or the Burk's Falls and District Food Bank would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
