J. DOUGLAS MOWAT Of Sundridge Peacefully at Huntsville District Memorial Hospital on Tuesday January 2, 2018. Doug Mowat was in his 103rd year. Beloved son of the late William and Catherine and predeceased by his siblings: Harold, Mary, Michael, Francis, Russell, Agnes, Mark, George and Archie. Cherished Uncle Doug of many nieces and nephews; he will be missed by all who knew him. The family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Dempster Chapel, 210 Ontario Street in Burk's Falls on Friday January 5, 2018 from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Parish prayers will take place in the funeral home Friday evening at 5:45 p.m. Mass of the resurrection will be celebrated in the Church of the Holy Spirit in Burk's Falls commencing at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday January 6, 2018 with Father Theo Nnorom officiating. Spring interment in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Burk's Falls. If desired, memorial donations to the Church of the Holy Spirit would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
