MR. DOUGLAS R. McMILLAN of Magnetawan and formerly of Hamilton Suddenly at his home on Monday April 29, 2013. Mr. Doug McMillan, beloved husband of the late Shirley Anne (Crombie) and the late Iris (Stroud-Parker) was in his 73rd year. Dear father of Douglas A. McMillan (Audrey) and Cameron B. McMillan (Teresa). Proud grandfather of Katie, Ryan, Kaitlyn and Emilie. Doug is a retired member of Hamilton Regional Police with 30 years of service and is also currently a member of the Lion's Association, Magnetawan Den. The family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Dempster Chapel, 210 Ontario Street in Burk's Falls on Thursday May 2, 2013 from 7 to 9 p.m. A Lion's service will be conducted in the funeral home on Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. If desired, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
