Donald "Toddy" Haining

Peacefully at Algonquin Grace Hospice in Huntsville on Friday February 7, 2025. Toddy Haining, beloved husband of Linda for 40 years, was in his 66th year.

Loving father of Rodney Haining (Elizabeth).

Dear son of Barbara and Les Phinney and the late Ken Thompson. Son-in-law of Alice Edsall (late Robert).

Brother of Bonnie Rickward (Rob), Sheila Haining, Steve Thompson (Debbie) and brother-in-law to Cindy Davidson (Paul).

Toddy will be fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, other family, friends, racetrack family, colleagues and clients. He was passionate about the road and his people.

“If the garage door is open….come visit.”

The family will receive visitors at the Kearney Community Centre, 8 Main Street in Kearney on Saturday February 22, 2025 from 12pm until 1pm. A service to celebrate Toddy’s life will follow commencing at 1:00 pm with Reverend Edna Murdy officiating.

Cremation has taken place.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Algonquin Grace Hospice or Huntsville Hospital Foundation would be sincerely appreciated by the family.

Arrangement have been entrusted to the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Dempster Chapel, Burk’s Falls, Ontario.
