MR. CHRISTOPHER ANTONIN KANKA
Of Emsdale and formerly of Toronto

Suddenly at his home with his family in Emsdale on Wednesday January 27, 2021 at the age of 45.
Devoted and cherished son of Debbie Buurman (David Church) and late Antonin Kanka.

Father of Mina and Daxton.
Chris will be missed by his sister Marie De La Franier and step-siblings Luke and Marley Church.
Fondly remembered by his aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
Chris was an experienced fish monger, an executive chef and loved his children.  He always had many irons in the fire.  Chris was on the first season of Canada’s Top Chef and made his family proud every single day.
Arrangements are being handled privately with the family and have been entrusted to the Opatovsky Funeral Home – Dempster Chapel, 210 Ontario Street in Burk’s Falls.
If desired, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
