MR. CHARLES HERMAN PARKES "Charlie" of South River With his family by his side at the Algonquin Grace Hospice in Huntsville, Charlie went to be with his Lord on Wednesday December 5, 2012 in his 86th year. Charlie Parkes, beloved husband of Erna Parkes (nee Minor). Dear father of Sandy (Gary), Jackie, Dale (Sandy) and Tim (Diane). Loving grandfather of 10 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Cherished brother of Everitt (Marg), Fanny (late Howard) and predeceased by three brothers and three sisters. Fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends. Family will receive visitors at the Almaguin Missionary Church, Highway 124 on Saturday December 8, 2012 from 2-3 P.M. A service to celebrate the life of the late Charlie Parkes will be conducted in the church on Saturday December 8, 2012 at 3:00 P.M. with the Pastor Andre Wedseltoft officiating. If desired, memorial donations to the Algonquin Grace Hospice would be sincerely appreciated by the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Opatovsky Funeral Home - Moore Chapel, 9 Paget Street in Sundridge.
