Peacefully at Soldiers Memorial  Hospital in Orillia on Thursday July 11, 2019 at the age of 86.
Carl Whitmell, beloved husband of Jo-Anne Whitmell (nee Armstrong).
Dear dad of Mike Whitmell (Paula).
Proud “Poppy” of grandchildren: Shawna, Joe (Mellissa), Billy (Kelly) and great grandchildren Evan, Jack and Carl.
Cherished brother of Doyle (Joanne) and predeceased by brother Bob and sister Doreen.
Fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A celebration of Carl’s life will be held at Faith Chapel, 63 Henry Street in Sprucedale on Sunday July 21, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Don Nicholson officiating.  Reception to follow at the Sprucedale Community Centre.
Private family interment at the Sprucedale Cemetery.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Dempster Chapel, 210 Ontario Street in Burk’s Falls.
