BOZENA MERCIK ZDZISLAW (ZIGGY) MERCIK both of Sprucedale With profound sadness, we announce the sudden passing of Bozena and Zdzislaw at Bartlett Lake in Sprucedale on Monday, June 30, 2014. Bozena was in her 59th year and Zdzislaw was in his 81st year. They are survived by their children Anna (Rob), Bartosz (Jessica), Aleksander, and Izabela. Zdzislaw is predeceased by his children Ilona and Bogdan (late Grazyna). They were the proud grandparents of Natalia, Sandra, Patricia and Christopher. Bozena is survived by her mother Jadwiga Kuzmicka and brother Ryszard Kuzmicki and his family. Zdzislaw is survived by his sister Alina Jacek and her family. The family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Dempster Chapel, 210 Ontario Street in Burk's Falls on Saturday July 12, 2014 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. A service to celebrate the lives of Bozena and Zdzislaw Mercik will be conducted in the chapel commencing at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday July 12, 2014 with Reverend Donna Bowman-Woodall officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to a Trust Fund for Aleksander or the ZHR Polish Scouts of Canada would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
