MRS. BLANCHE HICKS of Sundridge Peacefully at Eastholme in Powassan on Friday March 27, 2015 in her 96th year. Blanche Hicks (nee Crisp), beloved wife of the late Joe Hicks. Dear mother of Joe Hicks, Noreen Hamm (Fred), Peter Hicks (Sheila), Margaret Hicks, mother-in-law of Leann Hicks (Byron Parker) and predeceased by son Tom Hicks. Loving grandmother of Andy (Angela), Jeff, Anna, Clinton (Mary), Lori, Tommy (Angela), Tammy (Brian), Shawn (Dayna), Tracy (Dave) and great grandmother of 16 great grandchildren. Cherished sister of Orma Quinn (Don) and sister-in-law of Elva Hicks (late Jim). Fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home - Moore Chapel, 9 Paget Street in Sundridge on Monday March 30, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. and at the Knox Presbyterian Church in Sundridge on Tuesday March 31, 2015 from 10 - 11 A.M. A service to celebrate the life of the late Mrs. Blanche Hicks will be conducted at the Knox Presbyterian Church in Sundridge on Tuesday March 31, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. with the Reverend Doctor Walter Winger officiating. Spring interment at the Strong Cemetery in Sundridge. Thank you to the staff at Eastholme for the care given to our mom and to our family over the years.
