MRS. BETTY (MAPES) FARNSWORTH (nee Park) of Sprucedale Peacefully at The Pines in Bracebridge on Saturday June 18, 2011. Mrs. Betty Farnsworth was in her 87th year. Companion of the late Hilliard Mapes and beloved wife of the late James Farnsworth. Dear mother of Sandra Arlene Jarvis of Peterborough, the late Sharon Adele Doous formerly of Toronto and Sheila Anne Farnsworth (Joe Clark) of Burk's Falls. Cherished grandmother of Donald, Peggy, Vanessa and Tammy Lea. Great grandmother to Brayden, Hunter and Simon. Dear sister of Jessie Kedney and the late Jack Park. The family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Dempster Chapel on Monday June 20, 2011 from 7 to 9 p.m. A service to celebrate the life of the late Mrs. Farnsworth will be conducted in St. Mark's Anglican Church in Emsdale commencing at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday June 21, 2011. Reverend Jeffery Hooper officiating. Interment in St. Paul's Anglican Cemetery in Sprucedale. If desired, memorial donations to the Alzheimer's Society would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
