BARBARA SIMPSON of Kearney Peacefully at Huntsville District Memorial Hospital in Monday August 7, 2017. Barb Simpson, beloved companion of Norm Armstrong, was in her 69th year, Dear mother of Brandon Jessup. Proud grandmother of Briar. Predeceased by special niece and companion Jennifer Simpson. Dear sister of Raymond Simpson, Shirley Willett and the late Sheila Murdy. Step-sister of Carmen Whitelock. Barb will be fondly remembered by all of her family and friends. The family will receive visitors at the Kearney Community Centre, 8 Main Street in Kearney on Saturday August 12, 2017 from 12:00 until 1:00 p.m. A service to celebrate Barb's life will follow in the community centre commencing at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Richard McQuillin officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Dempster Chapel, 210 Ontario Street in Burk's Falls. If desired, memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
