MRS. BARBARA IVY SOWREY of Emsdale Peacefully at Huntsville District Memorial Hospital on Tuesday August 1, 2017. Barbara Sowrey, beloved wife of the late Ben, was in her 92nd year. Dear mother of Graham (Sharon), Peter (Cathy) and Paul (Elizabeth). Proud grandmother of Jeff (Lynn), Ryan (Sarah), Bud (Melissa), Nathan (Irene), Gary (Debbie), Trevor, Clayton (Sarah) and predeceased by Michael. Great grandmother to Ben, Lilly, Jack, Quinton, Kyra, Garret, Warren, Evan, Brianna, Seth and Willow Kate. Barb is predeceased by her parents William and Rose Dews and brother Clifford (Betty). The family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Dempster Chapel, 210 Ontario Street in Burk's Falls on Friday August 4, 2017 from 6 to 9 p.m. A service to celebrate the life of the late Mrs. Sowrey will be conducted in the Church of the Good Shepherd in Emsdale commencing at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday August 5, 2017 with Reverend Edna Murdy officiating. If desired, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Parish Church of the Good Shepherd would be sincerely appreciated by family
