MR. ARTHUR G. HAGGART (Of South River) Peacefully at Southwind Retirement Home in South River on Friday July 23rd, 2010. Mr. Arthur Haggart was in his 93rd year. Beloved husband of the late Mable Peters for 24 years. Arthur is predeceased by his parents Henry and Alice Haggart, brothers Charles and Wilfred and sister Elsie. He is survived by sisters Ruby, Kathleen and Audrey. He will be missed by many friends, relatives, nieces and nephews. Arthur lived in South River all of his life and was a long time member and past president of the South River Legion. The family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Moore Chapel, 9 Paget Street in Sundridge on Tuesday July 27, 2010 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. A service to celebrate the life of the late Mr. Haggart will be conducted in the chapel on Tuesday July 27, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. with the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #390, South River and the Reverend Rick Callery officiating. Interment in the South River Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to a charity of your choice would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
