MR. ARNOLD CHARLES GILPIN Of Emsdale Peacefully at Huntsville District Memorial Hospital on Monday August 27, 2012 after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer, Mr. Arnold Gilpin was in his 79th year. Beloved husband of Ramona (nee Appleyard). Loving father of Dlane Gilpin (Jacques Houde), Linda Gilpin, Ace Gilpin and Wade Gilpin (Stephanie Bausenhart). Proud grandfather of Lily Houde, Daniel Houde and Markus Gilpin. Arnold is survived by his brother Cecil Gilpin (late Thelma), sister Shirley Hellam (late Earl) and sister-in-law Margeruite Gilpin (late Earl). Arnold will be fondly remembered by all his family and friends. The family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Dempster Chapel, 210 Ontario Street in Burk's Falls on Friday August 31, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A service to celebrate the life of the late Mr. Gilpin will be conducted in the chapel commencing at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday September 1, 2012 with Reverend Nina Fulford officiating. If desired, memorial donations to the Huntsville District Memorial Hospital Foundation would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
