ARCHIE ALEXANDER MacKAY of Sundridge and formerly of Burk's Falls Suddenly and peacefully surrounded by his family at the Royal Victoria Health Centre in Barrie on Wednesday April 25, 2018 at the age of 83. Archie MacKay, beloved husband of Marilyn MacKay (McIsaac) and the late Marilee MacKay (nee Robbins). Loving dad of Kerri MacKay (Gaston Rivard), Kevin MacKay (Diana), Kent MacKay (Roxanne) and stepfather of Richard McIsaac, Blake McIsaac and Reagan McIsaac (Monique). Proud grandpa of Allan (Ashley), Amy (Andrew), Kina (Cody), Brayden, Lauren, Teighan, Ayrin, Cieran, Claire, Lauren and great grandpa of Matthew and Bryson. Cherished brother of Ross (Phyllis), Dave (Barb), late Rod (Marilyn), late Murray (Marie), late Anabel and brother-in-law of Nancy (Les), Russell (Diane) and Allan (Linda). Fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Archie takes with him big hands and a gentle heart. He was a good friend to all and active in all the communities he belonged to. He was a coach, had a variety of interests, enjoyed fishing and was an avid sports enthusiast. All who knew him loved him. Family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home - Moore Chapel, 9 Paget Street in Sundridge on Friday May 4, 2018 from 5-8 P.M and at Knox Presbyterian Church, 59 Main Street in Sundridge on Saturday May 5, 2018 from 12:30 - 1:30 P.M. A service to celebrate the life of the late Archie MacKay will follow in the church on Saturday May 5, 2018 at 1:30 P.M. with Reverend Dale Broadworth officiating. Interment at the Burk's Falls Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to Hospice Huntsville or the charity of your choice would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
