MRS. ANETTA SANDS (nee Bates) of Katrine "NETTIE" Peacefully at her home on Thursday April 5, 2018. Mrs. Anetta Sands, beloved wife of the late John Sands, was in her 91st year. Dear sister of Helene Livingston (late Mervyn) and is predeceased by her siblings as well as her parents; Melissa and Samuel Bates. Anetta will be fondly remembered by all of her nieces, nephews other family and friends. The family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Dempster Chapel, 210 Ontario Street in Burk's Falls on Thursday April 12, 2018 from 12-1 p.m. A service to celebrate Anetta's life will follow commencing at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Doctor Walter Winger officiating. Spring interment in Shelburne Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to the Almaguin Animal Rescue would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
