Alvin Hicks, beloved husband of Louise Hicks (nee Sararas) of South River. Dear father of Susan Webster (Tom) and Fern Carpenter (George). Loving grandfather of Melanie Stroud (Mark), Tim Webster (Nathalie), Jason Carpenter (Amber), Jennifer Moggy (Darren), Jamie Carpenter (Carrie), Jennalee Carpenter (Kade) and great grandfather of Emalee, Breann, Jolene, Kaylee, Easton, Elliot, Emmet, Hudson, Kate and Abby. Fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home - Moore Chapel, 9 Paget Street in Sundridge on Thursday April 10, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. A service to celebrate the life of the late Mr. Alvin Hicks will be conducted in the chapel on Friday April 11, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. with Mr. Larry Jeffery officiating. Spring interment at the Strong Cemetery in Sundridge. If desired, memorial donations to the Algonquin Grace Hospice, the Hospital for Sick Children or the charity of your choice would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
