MRS. ALICE TAVERNER Of Kearney (nee Thomson) Peacefully at Huntsville District Memorial Hospital on Thursday March 1, 2012. Mrs. Alice Taverner was in her 76th year. Beloved wife of Elton. Dear mother of Bruce, Marie, Dora (Don), Gloria (Jack), Nancy (Rick) and the late Larry. Cherished grandmother of 8 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Alice is survived by her siblings; Uldene Scott (Ken), Val Thomson (Barbara), Neil Thomson and will be fondly remembered by all her family and friends. The family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Dempster Chapel, 210 Ontario Street in Burk's Falls on Sunday March 4, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A service to celebrate the life of the late Mrs. Taverner will be conducted in the chapel commencing at 11:00 a.m. on Monday March 5, 2012 with Mr. Val Thomson officiating. Spring interment in Sand Lake Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to the Arthritis Society would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
